Still working on my spaceship at the moment. The concept is also unfinished. I've decided to not apply my subdiv practice on the ship (i'm using sub div but not getting rid of edge loops so its high poly), as i feel itll take too long to make, however if i finish it i will go back and fix it :)

To practice my sub div skills I am recreating one of  Steve ChinHsuan Wang's concept pieces. I had originally started without using subdiv, now applying it you can see the obvious difference when smoothed between the two tables. I'm excited to finally have an environment to put my trucks into, and I'm also hoping to redo them with sub div :)

This week in class i started look dev for our upcoming client project and worked on concepts of the scenes for my group. i worked on an african classroom, nightclub, and the background which is scene outside the door in the classroom scene which will actually need to be 2D painted for the final piece.

I also worked on my portfolio website which is almost complete.

We also learned the basics of Zbrush which I want to practice with, and I started work on a portfolio piece which is an environment for my Ramen and Ice Cream trucks i made last year.

Today I started concepting for my new professional portfolio website in photoshop

I then started looking at themes on Wix and how I could customize them. It was actually quite easy and I'm really happy with how it came out. So far I have only done the front page and one image to fill the space, I will concept the other pages later and work out what else I want on the home page :)

We have been working on designing new layouts for our portfolios at the moment, so before working on mine I also decided to update the look of this blog. I'm very happy with how it turned out :)

Next I will be working on transforming my current website, sam-owen.wix.com/portfolio into something professional and presentable

We have also just started a project working with a real client. The script is written for us and I have been working on a storyboard and animatic for the 15 second short we need to produce.
